02 / The game

Football energy.
Wall to wall.

Padbol® is a third-party court sport that combines football technique, a net and wall play in a fast game for four players. This page offers a descriptive introduction to the sport.

How
padbol works.

Two teams of two go head to head. You use your feet, head, chest, knees and shoulders to play the ball over the net. The glass walls are active in the game. That keeps the ball alive and means the next angle is never entirely obvious.

01

Two versus two

Padbol is played by two teams of two. Teamwork is not an extra; it is the key to every rally.

02

Play with your body

Hands and arms stay out of the game. Feet, head, chest, knees and shoulders are all available.

03

Use the walls

The glass walls are part of the game. Use them to open space, find an angle or surprise your opponents.

04

Keep the rally alive

Each side has a minimum of two and a maximum of three touches. Both players take part before the ball goes back.

A court that
plays along.

The compact court is designed around speed, sight lines and smart choices. The net divides the playing area. The glass walls give every attack another route.

The red zone

Near the net is the red zone. From here, players can volley the ball directly from the air. It makes attacking faster and rallies more spectacular.

A familiar system.
A new rhythm.

Scoring follows the familiar tennis system: 15, 30, 40, game and sets. A match is won by the team that takes two sets.

The spirit
of the game.

No long explanation needed. Step onto the court, feel the ball and discover why one game rarely stays one game.

Can you use your hands?

No. Hands and arms are not used. You play with your feet, head, chest, knees and shoulders.

How does the serve work?

The serve starts with a bounce on the server’s own half. The ball is then played underhand into the designated service area on the opposite side.

How many players are on court?

Padbol is a doubles game: two players per team, four players in total.
